Town Centre Recovery

By January 14, 2021Uncategorized

During the current lockdown, Northwich Town Council continues to constantly monitor all signage throughout the town centre and replace where damaged.  Our prime concern is keeping shoppers and other visitors to the town as safe as possible, and reminding them of restrictions in place and how to keep themselves safe.  Footfall is low at present due to most shops having to remain closed.  Everyone is confidently hopeful that the introduction and distribution of the vaccines will eventually see an end to the high numbers of positive tests and unfortunate deaths due to the pandemic we are seeing at present.  Our thoughts are with those families who have lost a loved one at this time.

Over the Christmas period we worked in partnership with CW&C to keep the town centre safe for residents and businesses through gritting all areas including the COVID testing site. Thanks to our staff who worked throughout the Christmas period and also the gritter drivers who kept our main roads safe.
