Cheshire Gardens Trust volunteers undertake the research and recording of historic parks and gardens in Cheshire. During the past year their activities have been somewhat restricted, but at a time when people have appreciated and used their parks and open spaces more than ever, they have been doing some research on them.
The attached reports on the history of Verdin Park are really interesting and CGT volunteers were delighted to discover so many images and records online.
Their final reports are sent to Cheshire Historic Environment Record, the local authority, and to Cheshire Archives and Local Studies who distribute copies to the local studies sections of local libraries.
Northwich Town Council would like to sincerely thank the Cheshire Gardens Trust for their painstaking research capturing the rich history of Verdin Park and hope the people of Northwich enjoy reading their reports.
